What My Jehanabad stores when you sign in, report a problem or send a suggestion, and the rules for using the site.

Who we are

  • My Jehanabad is an independent civic information site. It is not run by, and does not speak for, the Government of Bihar or the Jehanabad district administration. Official information is linked to its source, mainly jehanabad.nic.in.

What we store

  • Administrator sign-in email (or Google account). Visitors do not need an account to participate.
  • Reports you post: the text, area, optional photo and the time. Your name and email are never shown publicly.
  • Confirmations and abuse flags you add. Others only see the total counts, not who added them.
  • A signed visitor cookie lasting up to 180 days remembers confirmations and flags. Private, hashed visitor and network identifiers enforce spam limits; administrators can review flag reasons.
  • Suggestions you send for editors to review.

How it is used

  • To run the site: show reports, count confirmations and let editors review content. We do not sell your data. Paid advertisements are labelled separately.

Rules for posting

  • Post only real, local problems. No abuse, personal attacks, private phone numbers or other people's personal details.
  • Visitor limits: 5 reports and 5 abuse flags per day, and 30 confirmation changes per hour. Shared network limits also apply. Clearing cookies does not remove network limits.
  • Photos must be JPEG, PNG or WebP, at most 5 MB and under 24 megapixels. Photos are resized to at most 2048 pixels per side and re-encoded before upload. Photos attached to hidden reports are not publicly served.
  • Editors may hide reports that break these rules, with a stated reason.

Accuracy

  • We label where every piece of information comes from. Always confirm important details, such as deadlines and fees, on the official portal before acting.
